Catch Up @ Chef Kang!: Faint fruits, earthy, tea. This is pass its prime IMO. Maybe bottle variation? (Note: I tried the 1985 recently and it was really good).

Very nice, aged Bordeaux. In appearance light brick colour with a brownish edge. Light nose. On the palate blackcurrant and plum, with a very nice, long and fresh finish. Matched wonderfull with our Magret de Canard.

Troplong Mondot Dinner and Tasting (Private apt in NYC): From a mag and opened in the morning and served at the end of dinner. This was just beautiful and definitely my WOTN. Get black plums and spice and a real vibrancy to the wine while still coming across as mature. Very enjoyable.

Soft with not much tannins left. Some spicy notes and became sweet after an hour or two. Some oak and earthiness. Went well with food. Reached maturity already and good time to drink up.

Very good concentration, the tannins are still a bit hard (like most 86 BX ), but generally I think the fruit iversjadiws this and I question wheter it will gain from further cellaring
An interesting and good bottle, my notes saus I paid less than 20 £ for it at Oddbins in 1989!

Dark red, compact, showing some maturity though.
Nose of plums and cedar along with mishrooms.
