Incredibly smooth and well-integrated right out of the bottle. Needs no air whatsoever - must have confused another wine with this in my prior note. Mountain fruit has a rich, dark nose, mouthfeel is a lush satin of dark berry, black cherry, - maybe the approachable aspects of this bottle reflects bottle variation, as this seems more like a 7+ year old merlot than other bottles of this or other QC blends. Excellent, drink within 4 years based on this sampling.
One of the better bottles of QC I've tasted in years. Big, simple & oaky like they all are. That said, this one stopped short of the viscous nature some of the Cabernet bottlings have. Lush & rich, a cocktail wine for sure. 15.2% abv well hidden.
