Grand Cru Portfolio Tasting (3/9 Grand Cru Portfolio Tasting, NYC): Nose has a funky Manchego and sweet rust character. Robe has a browning maroon color. Palate is decidedly tertiary but nice--very good! Tannins are still there. Finish had a sweet green dimension to it, but it's okay. The Gibourg sister present to pour noted that it took 5 or 6 yrs for the 2011 green 'stamp' to release its grip on the wine.

A home run for this vintage. Mid weight but suave and silky with plenty of meat, florals and spice. Fruit is ripe and sweet with no signs of greenness. Just right and in a peak window.

Pleasant lightweight wine, suffers from the vintage....a bit deeper than the Ech, but with some greenness and a stemmy finish. One of the weaker wines in the vertical/horizontal

Still too young for my taste. Beautiful nose of wild berries, earth and minerals. A bit too tannic for me at this stage. Wait a couple of years and give it a long decant.

Very clean and approachable. Just needs a bit more fruit.
