  The premium wine of the „Klosterkellerei Muri-Gries“ (Benedictine monks), made up of 100 percent Lagrein, an indigenous Tyrolean grape-varietal found only in the region around the city of Bozen (South Tyrol). Decanted: 3 hours prior to consumption. Very deep dark red color (almost black). A bit reticent on the nose at first, the wine opened up beautifully after about one hour with intense aromas of cherry, new leather, graphite, tobacco and a touch of eucalyptus. The masculine palate shows great concentration and depth, copious ripe plum and cherry fruit, pronounced but quite polished tannins and a firm well-structured acid core. Long powerful finish. A great authentic wine that evolved beautifully in the glass over the course of the evening. This wine is already drinking very nicely now, but it has all the components to age well.
  
  De topwijn van de "Klosterkellerei Muri-Gries" (Benedictijnenabdij), volledig gemaakt van Lagrein-druiven, een autochtone Tiroolse druivenvariëteit, die alleen in de omgeving van de stad Bozen (Zuid-Tirol) terug te vinden is. Gedecanteerd: 3 uur voor consumptie. Zeer diepe, donkerrode kleur (bijna zwart). Aanvankelijk was de neus wat terughoudend, maar na een uurtje opende hij zich prachtig met intense aroma's van kersen, nieuw leder, grafiet, tabak en een vleugje eucalyptus. Een zeer mannelijke wijn met een voortreffelijke concentratie en dito diepgang, met pakken rijp pruimen- en kersenfruit, krachtige maar al vrij gepolijst tannines en een stevige maar mooi gestructureerde aciditeit. Lange, machtige afdronk. Een grote authentieke wijn, die in de loop van de avond prachtig evolueerde in het glas. Deze wijn is al goed op dronk, maar zal er met de jaren zeker nog op vooruitgaan.
