We ordered the wine with dinner at the restaurant of hotel Adler Dolomiti in Alto Adige. It was intense bright dark purple in colour. The wine was rather closed on the nose, only showing mixed berries, some liquorice and some vanilla. On the palate the wine offered cherry, blackberry, vanilla, chocolate, spices and a hint of liquorice, with medium-level acidity and medium length. The wine was medium-bodied, round and much more elegant than expected, with well-integrated tannins and a creamy mouthfeel. A well-made, modern, international-style wine. 88+
