Another Emirates bottle, this time on the ground in their Dubai lounge. Confirms my impression from the last bottle and seems even more advanced this time. Clearly in the yellow fruit spectrum, quince and so on, oak still very noticeable. Not my kind of Corton Charlie.

Emirates flight. Pale lemon yellow. Fairly rich and buttery but lacking a bit in energy and delineation/aromatics. A nice Burgundy for sure but not a great Corton Charlie in my eyes.

Pop and pour. Lovely, rich and nutty. On the nose: honey, marzipan, lemon oil. On the palate: lovely density and richness. Maybe a little advanced for a 2011, but in a wondeful place. Still going strong on Day 3 open.

Popped and poured. This still works but it’s a little advanced for what I would expect. Light to medium golden, medium bodied. Notes of pear, apple, wet stones, and spice. The wine lacks a bit of focus and energy though. Drink up if you have these although perhaps I had a bottle in early premox.

The last of the case. I would love to relive.
