Rather stunningly delicious and flamboyant. Tons of buttery chard fruit and an almost charred bourbon barrel flavor. Really quite over the top, but hard not to smile while drinking this. By no means is this a “subtle” wine, but for brash, in your face CC, this is hitting on all cylinders YFS
The wine pours a saturated, golden straw color akin to that of a bourbon. I find the wine much more enjoyable at room temperature rather than chilled, as the nuances show more readily at this state. The nose displays plenty of white peaches, lemon curd, buttered popcorn, vanilla, caramel, flint and musk. Concentration and power are both remarkable. On the palate, the wine truly shines with a viscous and unctuous structure. However, it is by no means fat as the body is moderated well with streaky minerals. I do find the acidity lacking and the alcoholic heat a bit noticeable. Flavors of flint, roasted pineapple, peaches, white flowers, marzipan, honey, and caramelized pears are on the forefront. The finish is long and complex. Definitely funky at the very end like an oxidized Jura - chalky and with a fair bit of mulch. Nonetheless, a very tasty wine at this deal I bought it at. In fair honesty, the entire profile of this wine really reminds me of an Aubert or Kistler.

No notes. At dinner with family. Beautiful oxidative profile however which presented a well aged wine.

(from demi:) Hint of nectarine, taut acid core, creamy mid-palate, long finish. A stunner.

Très beau vin. Excellent même.... Mais considérant l'AOC, ce n'est vraiment pas à niveau. Longueur très moyenne. 200$ trop cher.......!!
