Floral start with plenty of red berry and Asian five spice and earth notes, all certainly elegant and lighter styled. Also light color. Everything follows through nicely onto the palate, again charming and nuanced, with medium density, so just more delicate than I was hoping and expecting. Good now, I would not expect any further upside.

I'm going to be harsher than existing notes. At this price point I expect more.
It's Day 2 and I remain disappointed. The wine seems unbalanced - I get signs (fumes/heat) of unintegrated alcohol. I find the nose and palate 'full-on' with sweet red fruits - and red fruits are what I usually prefer in reds over dark fruits. It's as though commendable individual elements are there, but it just hasn't come together. Is it going to - hmm, I doubt it, but I intend to add further comments on Day 3/4. No better integrated on Day 3.

One of the most savoury Pinot that I have tried. Gave almost nothing on the nose for hours. Eventually started to reveal briar, earth, forest floor. Never quite meaty though. Had softened & opened up more on day two. More in the way of red fruit. But still very restrained. On this showing I'd say the best is still a long way off, hold.

Decanted. Pale crimson color. Earthy nose of forest floor. Very savoury on first taste with strawberry and rasberry coming through on the palate. Opened up beautifully in the glass. One of the nicest Pinot's i've tried. Classy

Earthy, meaty and great length.
Mud red and lighter to medium body, lovely Asian spice and raspberry. Well rounded body with fine tannin.
Drink now to 3+ years.
