  • Quite the creeper (as in it creeps up and grows on you). Some simple strawberry fruits early but the wine gains considerable complexity with air. Some mildy pongy darker cherry fruits and minerals and acid on the nose with a fruit tingle edge. This mostly carries through to the palate and the acid picks up a notch. Combined with the pong it really does look like a decent lambic with some age. Good length with some subtle tannin. Very respectible and shows lots of cred at 12 years of age. Has a couple of years to go yet.

  • A very nice Pinot, with good varietal characteristics, but just beginning to show its age. Lovely whiff of sweet black cherries and strawberries, a hint of cassis, the ripeness suggesting at its New World origins. Smooth and juicy on the palate; no rough edges, but a dusting of soft tannins. Nice sweet juicy finish. Overall, very enjoyable.

  • A very fragrant nose with touches of new carpet. Nice, gentle soft red fruit on the palate. Gentle tannins on the finish. This is a nice and easy pinot noir, but overall it seems a bit flat with no peaks or troughs of interest. Very Good+.
