Saturday late night at Maison Dakota. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Cork-closure. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of red candy, violets, deep fruity red cherries, bits of earth with more air. Developing. On the palate, dry, very tart high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), low tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fruity deep red cherries, tart sour red cherries, fresh earth with more air. Long finish. Good quality. Though young and quite unbalanced at the moment. I was guessing Bojo Cru actually. Will be good to try again in 3-4 years.

pinosity to the fore, excellent. more an Aussie Pinot than some lower down on the list. bold fruit , bright, serious, a little bit of stem action, excellent

United Cellars Grand Cru Burgundy tasting (Harbour 220/L15 131 Macquarie Street): Cedar, leather (?), stalks dominate muted strawberry and cream notes. In the mouth the wine is awful - spiky acidity accompanies a cloying residual sweetness. Completely out of whack. Can't get this out of my mouth quick enough.
