Another stellar bottle of this wine. Served alongside a pair of younger Corton-Charlemagne wines (Delarche and Latour) this wine stole the show. An extra gear of richness, complexity (10 years of age helps), and power. Credit to the Delarche, which was also excellent...the Latour was not memorable. The Pernot BBM is drinking really well now, but has years to go if from a sound bottle. Other tasters suggested 5 more years would not be a stretch. I agree.

Ripe orchard fruit throughout that clearly displays a core of sweet fruit following a floral start, while ending in a much brighter, finessed, minerally finish

Slightly darker yellow-gold than the Jadot Batard of the same vintage; this had a wonderfully complex nose with a sort of spiciness to it, maybe slightly more advanced than the Batard with hint of almond, orchard fruit pits, marly minerals, and a long tangy sappy finish. Just realized we visited Pernot during the '12 vintage! Oo Toro in Walnut. 93-94

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Enticing floral start with rich apple and pear on both nose and palate. Richness softens middle through finish with a bright, precise, very long finish. In its peak drinking window.
