at the top of its game. a mediocre vintage that drank well young its not fully mature and as good as it will get but no signs of premox and well rounded, rich and balanced. everyone loved it.

Dinner with the wine group (Zoom): Tasted blind. Golden; aromatic, honey, orange blossom, pollen; palate is dry, medium-plus alcohol, medium acidity, some bitter extract and tannins through the midpalate, slight mint/menthol; medium finish. Aged white burgundy (before 2010), mid-tier vs. dry chenin blanc (2013-2014?). More likely white burgundy. This opens up a bit more with time. 92

Somewhat closed on opening. After 30-45 minutes, aromas of roasted nuts, toast, smoke and baked apple emerge. On the palate, it’s not as full nor hefty as some Bâtard-Montrachet’s can be (the website notes only 40-50% new oak on Grand Crus) and there is nice mineral overhand and fair acidity. Golden delicious apple, lemon peel, iodine and baking spice round out this classic white Burgundy.

One of the best whit Burgundy’s I have had in a long time. Honey rich taste with lots of fruit. Just enough oak to add to the flavor
