slow ox 2 h the decant x 1h cherry fruit and fine dusty tannins after another 2 hours in glass but was clearly bested by the 2010 but was more ready than the 2011 Andrew Will Ciel alongside it which had burly tannins; this is likely a better fit at the table with food than naked with its peers

Really well made. Well structured but the fruit is soft and luscious. Would like to have seen a little more fruit on this one, But will check other vintages. In general really like this producers bottles.

Opened this up to have a glass of wine... and had to stop myself after 2. Consistent with previous tasting notes. Very pleasant. The next evening, after consuming a delicious Carodorum, we still wanted another glass of wine, so we drank the remainder of this bottle. Maybe because the Carodorum wine was so “big,” or because it was a day later, the tannins were much less pronounced, and all you really got was the fruit.

Interesting wine. It’s got a jamminess like Zinfandel, but not the mouthfeel; it’s medium-bodied, kind of on the lighter side, only with gripping, cedary tannins. As the evening wore on, the wine seemed to mellow a bit, and show more fruitiness, so it was really pleasant to drink, but tannins still noticeable. Hopefully, that will mellow over time.

No formal note, a very brief decant on this which probably held back its expression, still a very nice blend though the QPR is a little steep.
