Pop and pour. Earthy, rustic, drying tannins. Well made wine and while enjoyable, I am not nearly as enthusiastic as the others here, particularly at current pricing.
Pale to medium dusky garnet. Prominent aromas of lilies, roses, aromatic red berries, with a hint of dark crust. Dry dark fruit on the palate with superb concentration, clear and ringing with acids, light tannins, medium body, medium alcohol (13.5%), lovely aromatics at the back in the very firm and sustained finish. Complex, alternately flamboyant and brooding, great strength of character, beginning to mellow with age.

Second bottle from a half case to mark the end of a birthday weekend. Just delightful. Sweet and sour cherry, forest floor and a hint of truffle. Perfectly paired with mushroom risotto. This could be a 95 point wine in 3 or 4 years.
Dark red with cherry red fruit, and a heavy dose of black tea. Palate was slightly medicinal, with earth, more black tea notes, and some red fruit. Solid bottle, but still haven't fallen in love with any Chevillon bottles.

Nose of red fruit, lots of whole cluster, this is really complex. The palate is fresh and racy. High quality again of the best producer in NSG bar none. 94+
