I don’t know if it’s an off bottle, but no fruit left. Some mushrooms and forest floor and somehow quite acidic. Lacking complexity and length. Really disappointed, but the vintage is showing I guess.

Burgundy 2012 against German-speaking competitors: Different nose, a bit of candied fruit. On the palate it is charming and indeed very enjoyable, but shows less personality than the others. Day 2: Candied fruit again, but now also an underlying green note emerges, one I have found also in other vintages of Bachelet. On the palate it confirms its character as on day one: juicy and well balanced, not particularly lively or remarkable though.

Really good with a thunderstorm this evening. A little less good 2.5 hours later before bed. Similar to last note really singing at open and then a little sour cherry later on but this was better than last bottlw

13% Still pretty reserved after 3hrs but showing promising aromatic, intense, dark fruits, spicy and earthy. Just a hint of fresh acidity underneath. Lovely acidity at the entry and lingering, carry thru to the palate with perfectly ripe fruits and providing nice freshness, lightness and focus. The juiciness and purity of this wine is punching above its weight. Decent length, and touch of oak at the very back. This has the balance and substance to age longer, delicious now but no rush. Very nice.
