Very nice wine and well balanced especially from this era; dark in color and definitely ripe, but the fruit is more restrained than many Napa wines; black cherry, blueberry, along with some earth and tobacco; with air a hint of eucalyptus and the fruit becomes a bit richer; the palate gains in intensity and depth over 3-4 hours and becomes better and better; a wine I enjoyed and a style I would buy

Slightly cloudy very dark garnet color. Mulberries, plums, significant alcohol, and sweet cocoa on the nose. Plums, sweet raspberries, light Indian spices, and a king mixed berry finish.

My wine. I thought I'd read someone saying this was a "soft" vintage for Togni and drinking well right now which talked me into grabbing it. Big mistake. Saturated black fruit with interesting notes of celeriac and jasmine that will be better in 2032 than it is right now--a five hour decant hardly put a dent in it.

Served blind; Jenice and Bob's bottle. A big one. I guessed regal, old school Napa Cab. Dark berries, cassis, tobacco, savory spices. Upon reveal, I was thinking it's probably a mistake to open these within 10-20 years of the vintage. More future promise than present day delight.

Really solid wine that’s drinking nicely at this age.
