  • Un-named Atlanta Wine Tasting Group - High End Reds; 12/7/2023-12/10/2023 (Beebe House): Wine #3 in blind tasting of 7 "high-end" red wines paired with grilled NY Strips and Grilled Beef Filet Mignon.

Medium red color. Relatively tight nose - red currants, vanilla, sweet black cherry and cherry cough drop on the nose. Palate was relatively similar. Medium body, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins and very long finish. Reall enjoyed this. Preferred this to the '19 Continuum served immediately before. 93-94 Range. May go and purchase a few of these to lay down.

This wine got 1st place in the tasting for the group with some serious competition (see the tasting review). Not in my top 3 but I would purchase this.

  • Decanted and for sure this excellent wine needs all the help it can get at this stage. Young and full of energy but not heavy or overdone band for sure welcoming. Fresh dark fruit, soft oak in the background adding to the medley, silky but big tannin. The wine is only just waking up and unless one is a lover of the youthful side of big reds this is one to be left alone to sleep for another 5yrs minimum even better 10 so that it gets into its full stride. 92-93 now but really at the beginning and full of promise.

  • From magnum. Big and bold tannins on this youngster. Seems promising.

  • So much potential but please don’t touch for many years. Incredible acidity and extremely tightly wound at this stage. Evidence is bright raspberry, cherry, cassis fruit but it just needs time to open up. Next bottle will not be opened for a decade or two.
