Purchased this well kept bottle in Italy from Pasquale Gubitosa, Lucca. Still fresh and good tannins. Nice cherry aromas. Mid way thru meal, nice herbs and tobaccos on the nose. Not past its prime yet!
Enjoyed with bistecca Fiorentina, rosemary potatoes and roasted vegies in our appartment in Lucca. Surviving the coronavirus lockdown....

Bought in Italy on release. Showing gloriously tonight: Mushrooms, iron and red cherry on the nose, with time - olives and leather as well. Mid is cherry and mineral. herbs on the back. medium long finish with a freshness and a touch of tannins. great wine and amazing with food.

This is a gorgeous 2001 Brunello, with an incredible bouquet of sweet florals, minerals, crushed stone, green olive, and black cherry. On the palate, I found feminine textures with fleshy red fruits, sweet herbs, leather and hints of spice. It's tannins were perfectly in balance with a bit of grip, yet leaving the impression of weightless elegance. The finish was long with hints of fine tannin, leather and dried fruits. This is in a beautiful place tonight.

Still drinking well. Took a while to open up and once decanted nice fruit aromas and good tannins. Delicious with a ribeye and layered potatoes
