Deep ruby, smoked bacon, farmyard, animal, pig‘s ass, classic rhone syrah, no trace of warmth, cigar, tar, leaf, sage, very elegant. Black berries, minerals, tar, cigar leaf on the palate, high acidity, integrated tannins, unexpected, drinking absolutely amazing. What a treat

A bit disappointing. Flavours were a bit simple and four squared. Still plenty of life ahead but was missing the x factor, though I haven't had said epiphany with the many vintages of this negociant wine. Never feel ripped off, but this is on par with an average st-joseph. A rich man's St Jo...

Best bottle yet. Really fine grained cote rotie character, good depth of fruit and plenty of personality. Excellent balance and mid length finish. Based on this bottle hitting a good spot now.
Mature Syrah/Shiraz Hunter Valley Supper (Hunter Valley): very meaty with slight leather aromas, a herbaceous quality, peppery spice, woody notes, slight autumn leaves and bonfires, biscuit. In the mouth there is juicy acidity, peppery spice, leather, muted and lean black fruit and talc like tannin, the alcohol is quite warm on the long finish. nice

Corked
good colour and plenty of substance underneath the cork taint which had stripped all the fruit.
