This was youthful, perfumed, elegant, spices and complex. Nose is very pronounced and hard to imagine it’s already 37 years old. Palate is very good too but not as impressive as the nose. It did give me great drinking pleasure given its youthfulness.

Very consistent with the other recent notes. Cork totally soaked through and very wet - needed the Durand to get it out. Tons of funk initially. Took an hour to blow off. But it eventually did leaving mushrooms, forest floor, plums, more dark fruit than red fruit, earth and soil notes. Still well put together with good balance. Enough acidity to carry the wine and still a good amount of tannin. The fruit was tad bit thin and fading. Not the best cork so hopefully other bottles show a better fruit profile. An enjoyable experience for sure.

Pnp. Savoury, some red fruits. Weight is more present compared to the 83. A sense of elegance and suppleness you often get from Roumier. An outstanding village.

Almost a carbon copy of my note from 12/6/20. Same notes all around. Drink now - no point in waiting.

Mushroom, truffle, forest floor, brown sugar, toasted tobacco. Some fruit on the palate, quite deep, very energetic, balanced and mellow. 93
