  • Lovely minerality. Good energy. This is a point for my taste, wouldnt age much longer.

  • Pretty nose, very 08 in character with that savoury minerality I associate with the vintage.
Elegant - almost lean - on the palate. Nice intensity, definition, balance.
This is just a bit lacking charm.

  • Opened to celebrate Nita's & my 45th Anni w/ dinner at Ciao Bella in Edina MN. This is in a great spot & unlikely to slip anytime soon. Semi translucent ruby red w/ bricking on the edge. The bouquet is an appealing range of; red berries, forest floor & spice. Palate is placid, elegant & caressing. All its elements reverberate on the palate further enhancing its charm & intrigue. There's a sense of inner mouth perfume too. I slow-oxed for 2hrs in my Riedel Burg & btl before leaving for Ciao Bella. There we enjoyed this near cellar temp in our Riedel Burgs I brought along. This was 94+ at the venue & even better now, a day later as I finish a last leftover pour before dinner tonight. 13% alc.

  • Translucent slightly rusty ruby. Nose of cherry and raspberry fruit, sharp iron granules, earth, full violets, unexpected beef blood. Layers of buoyant red cherry with black raspberry streaks cut with sweet ferric notes, fine earth, and velvet tones on the pure, plush palate. Bright acidity and smoothed, massaging but tensile tannin. Long finish of luxuriant red berry, deeply grounded iron particles, and rich earth. An ethereal beauty.

  • This was a magical moment: A splendid transparent ruby color in a most uplifting, complex fruits, tangy textured wine.
As mineral as one could hope for and in the most pure, transparent manner.
There is a luminosity(both on the nose and palate) in this wine which can only be believed once tasted and the details were like fireworks of the most delicate and yet intense flavors combined together. (flavors of very focused raspberries, a small hing of fine red peppers and of course the red flowers were present during the whole tasting consistantly present. How can a bottle of wine be at same time, totally transparent, very complex and super intense? This is really a magical moment from Bourgogne, that I shared with my wife our two young adult kids.
This is a pure magic and once again Freddy is lifting us all up! Cheers,
