Beautiful floral nose and a lovely balance between sweet red fruits, savoury undertones and a strong acid spine. This is at the top of the Australian Pinot brigade and promises a few more years of development as well. However I’ve been unable to resist its charms and this is my last bottle - which to be fair - is drinking so well now that it’s brought a smile to my face.

Quite a darker red than I was expecting (more extract?) with fragrant cherry, roses and slight herbal nose. There is some bricking around the edge.
Sensational palate of bright cherry, raspberry, kirshe and savoury notes of new leather. Smooth tannins and exceptionally well balanced acidity this is drinking superbly. Its the best Mt M Pinot I've had (only been tasting since 2003). Mt Mary advocates might be critical though because this is a medium bodied version and Mt Mary is usually more delicate. This however is a crowd pleaser. Impress your guests!
Enjoy now but it has enough body to keep going a few years no probs.

A fine expression of MM Pinot, elegant for sure but with lots of interest and complexity. Quite autumnal, forest floor, cranberries, red cherries, oak is done perfectly as well. Will be interesting to see how this evolves, has got the structure to develop further.

A beguiling wine, offering more questions than answers at this point. The acid providing tension I’m still contemplating the following day. The nose ephemeral. Fruit present, but masquerading in multiple forms. Spice and fine-boned tannins. Early hints of mushroom and forest floor pique future interest. To taste now perhaps not sacrilegious, but patience will endlessly repay. 13% ABV.

Disappointing. More ‘light, dry, tart red’ than pinot.
