Really enjoyed this from Magnum - layers of flavour from a bright acidic lemon top note, to a mid palate of beautiful fruits including lemon, grapefruit, apple and rock melon, then a deeper richer nuttiness with brioche. A great effort in a tough vintage, almost certainly helped by the magnum format. Delicious and should last a few more years but no need to wait. This is at peak IMO…time to drink up.

Opened upon the reception of dear friends. Vilmart never disappoints. Bright, citrus and green apple, almond glaze, chalk and minerals. A full-on experience that shows a big Champagne that is so lifted and clean, with a lip-smackingly delicious finish. This wine is gorgeous right now, drink through 2025+.

Lovely middle of the road champagne here. Seductive and floral with great freshness and plenitude on the palate. Citrus, spice, red apples. A crowed pleaser in a good way. 93-94

A solid’11, though maybe aging quickly based on my last note from three years ago. Medium plus weight, and showing some maturity and maybe a bit more sense of dosage than I would prefer. A good food wine and one to drink sooner rather than later.
