A nice pinot noir, juicy and tasty that may however lack a bit of depth and length. Elegant, approachable, not very complex but elegantly balanced. Good wine, poor value.

Blinded. Waves of juicy red fruit, spices, herbs, and the stemmy tree bark notes. Palate showed the stem as wel, but in check with good acidity. Open and approachable, light on its feet, but packed with flavor and depth. I guessed 2014 Vosne (thinking Suchot). Surprisingly balanced and approachable for a 2015.

Most feminine of the flight – crunchy red fruits and juicy blueberries, subtle yet gorgeous whole cluster fragrant. Soft extraction and not as rich as Mugneret Gibourg 2011 (wine 1). Flamboyant with a Chambolle Musigny personality. (Charles Lachaux actually owns a 0.280ha plot in Les Rouges du Bas). Ripe and lightfooted, gentle and smooth tannins. This is my favourite of the flight. (94/100)
