  2hr decant, should decant longer like 4-5hrs. Medium high acid, dusty earthy red fruit with some orange peel. black tea, licorice. umami and some chocolate on the finish. very serious wine.

  This is my fifth Poggio Antico wine, and my favorite so far. I decanted, strained, and then I let it sit for three hours. The 2012 is a very smooth wine that still has a bit of tannin. The color is deep Garnet, and there is plenty of leather on the nose. I would hold another three to five years for optimal results.
