A Spring Saturday in DC: A kind of raisin-plum skin color. Smells of plum cake, raisins, roses and currant jam. Still going on the palate with dusty tannins and medium acid. Currants and blackberries taste jammy and sweet, mixed with tobacco, black olive, peppercorn. I get some fig cookie and sweet vanilla on the finish, and I like the way the herbal and earthy flavors mix in. Still holding up if good provenance.
