5-hour decant. Just beginning to open. I'd suggest waiting another 3-5 years, however, I'm not sure that this will improve enough to justify its lofty price. I've had plenty of Barbarescos at this stage that offered more complexity, more fruit, or both.

Indigena Ceretto Masterclass. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. legs. Nose medium intensity, with bits of burnt rubber reduction, smoky earth, subtle floral perfume, sour red cherries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sour red cherries, red plums, sweet toasty oak, smoked earth, sweet spices. Very long finish. Very good quality. Nose not as good as the Asili and not as much depth of fruit, though overall showing more complexity on the palate at this stage. Give it another 4-5 years to develop. Bernadot cru in the commune of Treiso.
