This was obviously very young but drinkable. Lot’s of power on the nose and palate. Dark and brooding black fruit, nice balance. No secondary notes yet. Drink now with air for the primary phase but I would hold. 94 for now.

Pausing for the Cause Fundraiser and Dinner (Obelix - Chicago IL): From magnum, tasted a couple of times over an hour. So much here, there is little pleasure forthcoming easily here, but dense and attention-grabbing even despite of the pronounced structure. Easily 94-95 point potential, 2036 forward.

Pausing for the Cause 2022 (Part 2) (Chicago, IL): From magnum. Nice to cross paths with this wine again; I believe that this was Laurent's last/Abel's first vintage. In any case, lovely red fruit on the nose, with a bit of a crunchy disposition. The acidity does seem to stick out a little on the palate, but not in too loud of a fashion. Still quite young and tannic, but to be honest, reasonably pleasurable to drink now.

From coravined bottle. Slightly reductive on the nose with purple fruit, strawberry, herbs, spice and nail polish. Dense and powerful with lots of underlying substance. Palate had lots of spice with so much energy but the fruit was also ethereally pure. A wow wine. 95 pt.
