La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Walkaround vertical tasting. Certainly lighter than the 2018 but also not particularly accessible right now. Faintly perfumed. Elegant styling here with everything coming through as still powerful. 92+ point potential, from 2027 forward.

Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Based upon tastes from 2 bottles. Light ruby. Aromatic mix of pyrazines and soil. Much more elegant weight than the 2018. Supple texture. Excellent combination of light red fruit (more berry than cherry), gentle soil, and citric acidity. Tannins unobtrusive now. Potentially excellent in 10+ years, but this needs to flesh out from here.

La Paulee, only brief impressions. From magnum. Unsurprisingly, a bit more modern expression of Burgundy, which works great in this bit less ripe vintages. Seductive fruit core balanced by a nice minerality, earthy notes and some herbs. Very round and polished with a very good balance. 94/95pts

97 pts

During the La Paulée in Zurich, so no detailed tasting notes. From MAG. Very young still. Good material, polished, deep. Best after 2032.
