  • When you opened the bottle you got a lot of strawberries - on the palette you still get strawberries the wine is smooth and light and stil drinkable - but you are clearly seeing a wine that has lost some power - it is still good but clearly ready to drink.

  • We could not resist this for the price and went for it albeit our first Burgundy 1994. We were not disappointed at all. Its a delicate wine and we would suggest (as we did) to serve it in smaller, almost white wine glasses to help concentrate the aroma and also limit the aeration as it worried us. Light bricking red in colour and felt more of a 1980s wine than 90s. Light and delicate yet very expressive on the nose, light red fruits, light earth. On the palate its still very might alive albeit light still very elegant and full of glass. A very experience. 93 and drink now.

  • With Jenny, Carver and Neomosha. Very, very light - I guess not surprising for a '94. More on the nose than the palate. Not worth the $40 I paid for it, but had to buy Rousseau at that price. Interesting note of bubble gum (??!!) on the nose after about 3 hours of air.
