Good example of Coonawarra. A step up from the black label v15. Fine structure, soft tannin, could be a great wine. A touch simple now, but I think better to come 93-95

2015 an outstanding vintage , warm spring , even flowering and set , lid summer and long ripening period delivering full fruit flavours and balanced acidity Oak 17 months in new and seasoned French oak 30% new , 80% hogshead 20% barriques , interesting trend towards bigger oak Colour deep dark red , purple hues , crimson edges 15/15 Nose intense fresh ripe fruits red , black and blue , blackcurrent, dark cherry, cedar spice, floral violets , fabulous aromas for what is to come 29/30 Palate this wine is very young and primary fruits dominates the palate , great balance between the major components, tannin, fruit and acidity , seemless , great promise for the future 42/44 Overall I my opinion Coonawarra Cabernet of this quality need 10 years to show there best, same as top level of WA Cabernets , nice to try young but better days are ahead , leave to 5 years 9/11

Wow, what a wine! Way too young at the moment, but has the juice to bring it through a loooong aging process (something the 90s John Riddochs were capable of). Great structure, great tannins, great acid. Banger.

This has everything that the black label has, but just that little but extra, more structure, more structured tannins, more balanced, longer finish, a little more oak (~40% vs. ~30%), however everything in the correct proportion. I would wait 5 years but then drink over the next 20.
