Still young but great cabernet sauvignon. Balanced and very elegant, notes of black fruits, pepper and cedar. Looking forward to the next bottle in a few years.

This is a beautiful young cabernet. Decanted 2 1/2 hrs and could have used more time. The aroma was black fruit and minerals, very pleasant. The wine opened up a bit over the next 2 hours, delicious fruit and firm tannins that lingered long after. I think this will be an even better wine with a few more years in the bottle but hard to resist right now.
When I first tasted this wine I was not impressed. But with food the wine improved. But I am still at the 91-92 points. I think $50 is a reasonable price instead of the $100 I paid for it. I feel that the fruit must have been picked very early to avoid it tasting like an Australian wine. And they added a lot of wood. Good but overpriced.
Decanted 2+ hours. Very young and tannic. This will need a few years but I'm sure that it will be really something special with more age. A very good wine. 93 pts. at the moment.
2016 a warmer than average vintage producing wines at the fuller end of the Wynns flavours spectrum Oak 16 months in 31% new French oak 65% Hogheads and 35% barriques . Alc 13.7% I’ll quote Nick Stock , wine reviewer here This is a very impressive and regal cabernet with a rich array of ripe blackcurrants, mulberries and blackberries on offer, as well as a cedary and gently chalky edge. There’s a very rich and powerful core of deep-set fruit, as well as a thread of rich chocolate flavor and a very polished, assertive core of tannin that holds super long." (June 2019)
This wine needs time like all top level Cabernets from Coonawarra and WA .Wynns themselves say the wine will live for 30 years and I believe them , one the same night as this was tasted we had a 1984 John Riddoch , still bright red, unfortunately it was corked . We also had a 2002 Black Label under cork but perfect condition and drinking beautifully
