I enjoyed this. Musty nose, blew off, acid hit me first, then the tannin and structure begin to showcase itself, finally the fruit came forward. Consumed over 3.5 hours and at its best towards the end of that window. More years left.

Sulphurous on opening But with breathing (couple of nights poured to absolutely fill a half bottle) the 2nd tasting of this shows a soft mature cabernet, with plenty of mouth coating tannin but ripe, soft, chewy.
Some nice aged complexity but less than an old Bordeaux.
Good but not great. This is before the glorious modern era of Wynns.
13.5%, cork.

Colour not overdeveloped. Complex nose anchored by classic Coonawarra blackcurrant. Medium bodied. Soft tannins. Very good but not the best JR I've had - could be due to the vintage. Still a very good wine

Mini Grapemates Christmas Party 2021: Pine needles, peas, blackcurrant and mint on the nose. Bold palate profile, plenty of sweet red and black fruits. In a decent spot for drinking though I'm not sure where it'll go from here.

A wonderful cornucopia of fruit on a gorgeous structure opened up gloriously after the cork was extracted with some difficulty and the wine decanted. Still plenty of life here!
