A big hit of balsamic volatility at first but calms down and really opens up. Raisin-like fruits on the nose and in the mouth. There's plenty of Indian spice and some dried porcini. It is rich and heady and thoroughly engaging. Tannins are relatively relaxed and the finish is long and tangy and loaded with savoury nuance.
