  Intense light red fruit on the nose with some rose-oriented floral aromatics. Light and gentle in the mouth, it also has a tension between lactic and malic. A lot of mineral but not exactly saline. A long, clean strawberry finish. Tannic today, likely even more lovely down the road.

  淡宝石红偏紫色，闻香有干玫瑰花，樱桃，蔓越莓，水果糖和胭脂香气，香气非常集中，入口酸度高，酒液咸，矿物感突出，单宁紧涩，糊嘴，细沙颗粒。酒做得很干净，水果糖，红果，草本气息，后段口中回甜，集中度很棒，酒风强劲，酒体紧致，口感扎实。年份很新，还没进入适饮期，但现在正处在年轻时期最开放的阶段，虽然没有发展出太多复杂度和深度，但不得不说香气真的非常漂亮，可谓华丽，把年轻的美好充分展现。

  瓶醒十小时，淡紫红色，花香四溢，月季，玫瑰，樱桃红果，还有一点饼干味，入口酸度高，酒液咸，收口微甜，单宁紧涩，铺满口腔，红果香气为主，后段辛辣感，结构不小，口感扎实，新鲜且强壮。给人的感觉就是非常香，但是酒在口中的状态又没完全打开，只能品尝到一些一类香气，可能还是年份太新的关系，也许第二三天喝状态要更好些。

  Return to Piemonte!; 11/25/2021-12/4/2021 (Castello di Sinio, Alba, other various locations): My favorite wine of the tasting. Perhaps the only wine of the tasting that I really liked, but if I had a chance to sit with a bottle and contemplate life, this is the wine (or more accurately, the burlotto family but sometimes I want it all). Tons of sediment in this and it actually pours a bit ‘chunky’ which with time can make the wine more bitter. It is floral and lovely and didn’t affect things too much although a double decant could have been good (poured with a Coravin).

  Infanticide but I missed this bottling in 2016 so was gagging to try a 2017- this actually my first 2017 Barolo of any bottling! Slow oxed for 4 hours.
  The nose was muted floral and red berries, initial attack is high acid and fruit, lip-smacking sour cherries- pure fruit with a gentle undertow of tar lending body as it gains body with air. The tannins are silky smooth- extraordinarily so for such a young bottle. Lovely long lingering finish that indicates the complexity to come with time. Towards the 8 hour mark some of the menthol and camphor notes started showing.
