I had to try one of these as I have a few in the cellar; this wine is best described as Wow! This was simply fabulous, definitely young, but incredible. I have drank my share of Eyrie and even had a few South Blocks in the past and this was as good as any I've tasted. The nose was exuberant with loads of red fruit and spice, hints of damp earth and purple floral notes. Bigger and more explosive on the nose than the typical Eyrie. The palate is denser, richer, and has much more dry extract and tannin than the normal bottlings. However, the classic balance and elegance is still there in spades. This is going to continue to develop into something spectacular. It is actually excellent now with food and some air, but clearly is on the upswing. I think blind I would have guessed Vosne 1er cru or even Echezeaux. Really a great wine.

MoT Masterclass - Oregon Pinot and Chardonnay (Singapore): Lovely nose here, spices, red fruit, black fruit, cola. One of the better and more aromatic wines of this tasting.
