Tasting pour at Eyrie. I think the bottle was opened earlier in the day and we tasted at around 3pm. Lovely fruit on this nose, black raspberry, strawberry, dusting of brown sugar. Super pretty and complex. Light to medium entry on the palate, also very pretty, betting some middle eastern spice on the finish. Good length.

Checking in on this and it hasn't really budged from the prior bottle. If anything it is a bit more closed and almost shutting down a touch. Palate is still open and tasty, but the nose wasn't quite as giving. Probably let the rest of these lay down for awhile.

PnP and enjoyed over 4 hours. It's a transparent light ruby. The nose is pretty with bright red-fruit, red licorice, and a touch of something savory. Palate is absolutely sublime. Ethereal. Lip smacking goodness. Mix of crunchy red and black fruit here - ripe red cherry, some tart and firm black berry. Cranberry. Finish (little bit of sweetness there, like some pie crust) goes on for days - that component is really outstanding.
This is incredible stuff. Pretty primary, but just delicious. Will evolve for a long time.

First taste of the 2015 South Block and as expected its a baby. The nose is explosive with ripe almost candied red currant, bing cherry, raspberry, followed by lots of baking spices, and some floral tones. The palate is big for Eyrie, but still with plenty of energy and lift to keep it elegant and balanced; a long finish lingers with some of the spice. Lovely, needs at least a decade.
