It's been awhile since I've had a GC Leflaive, and a young version at that. Really looking forward to trying this one and it was a beauty! First nose..."DAMN SON...is this an Oregon Chard" I jokingly called out. Beautifully clean match strike reduction with a hit of citrus, dried candied fruits, caramel corn...Mmmmmm Leflaive! So rich and intense with flavor, yet there was this crispness and weightlessness to it. Bright and energized lemon/tangerine citrus squeeze...tropical grilled pineapple, sauteed apples...again with all great chards for me...that dry extract, the white flower, crushed rock minerality...salty and waxy...such purity and balance...elegantly full bodied. I just loved it! Wish I could put this in my current tuesday weekly rotation! ;-)

blind I like all wines from Leflaive from 2017. Fine, elegant and powerful likewise. Nice way of reduction. Some popcorn, but creamier than for e.g. Roulot or CD. 98

A pre-50 pre Birthday Celebration; 6/9/2023-6/11/2023 (Around Zurich Area): Tasted blind and was the selection of the Sommelier of Taverne Zum Schafli, Wigoltingen. We went for 5yr old Puligny-Montrachet from a semi modernist like Lucien Le Moine as the smoky/toasty oak was very much in the forefront. And there lies for us the issue with this wine at this stage and hence our 94 in what otherwise is a magnificent wine. The toasty oak and the bright citrus render the wine a touch one dimensional and rob it of the magic. We feel this needs another 3-5 years to shed this and then will be hopefully in the higher 90s . Great to see the premox issues behind this great estate. 93-94

I guessed Leflaive BM. I love this nose, some nuts, reductive, discreet popcorn. Everything in balance. Very good stage to drink it now. 98-99
