Domaine Leflaive Dinner with Brice de La Morandière - DC Version (Officina - Washington D.C.): Fully mature nose displaying very ripe subtle yellow fruit, peach, butter scotch, sweet spices and shy mineral. Fully integrated palate, nicely layered mature yellow fruit, sweet, warm and round, medium acidity, very little mineral, and a medium long ripe yellow fruit driven finish. Although enjoyable, this should have been drunk a decade ago.

Different batch from the previous two great bottles. Caramel, coconut oil, ripe yellow fruit and minerals. While the wine is youthful, it lacks the nuance and vibrancy of the better 93 Chevy I had. Towards the end, the wine has become steely, almost Raveneau-like. 92-93

Drunk at Hong Kong Cricket Club - A late release bottle that was completely clean and vibrant. Initially very precise with a touch of minerality that could have been Grand Cru Chablis. Put on weight and complexity in the glass as the evening went on but not in any way flabby. A great Leflaive experience.

Another thrilling 93 CM from original release. Lemon oil, sesame, citrus, riceracker and stone fruit. Precise and linear to start. And it has expanded to be gain power and complexity on the back of vibrant acidity. Leflaive’s 93 still has upside from further aging.

Domaine Leflaive Dinner with Brice de La Morandière (Oriole - Chicago IL): Refurbished bottles from the Domaine. Lots here, fully mature, very fun and balanced, just slightly lacking the depth I recall from this wine when younger and fresher.
