51% Cab Sauv, 49% Shiraz. Bold, rich, and decadent. Flavors of blackberry chocolate leather blackcurrant cedar. Drinking nicely at 8 years but with many years ahead of it.

Oak feels as it has taken centre stage here for the moment. Vanilla, clove, coconut, chocolate, blackberry, plum, lavender. High tannin, medium + acidity. Finish is good. At this stage of its life it’s pushing me away, it needs time… I believe a lot more time, I would think of opening another bottle in another 5-7 years min (absolute min). I think all the components are there, it just needs more time to mesh together and for the oak & tannins to loosen its grip on the wine. 92 (but has lots of upside)

full blown fruit juice with prominent alcohol. cinnamon and coffee, there's a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. A typical Penfolds wine but not my type.

Still a young one, very rich, intense of vanilla with high concentration. Really too much for a shariz and not really my type, would love to see how it will evolve in a few days with more acidity
