Deep ruby. On the nose the aromas are of medium intensity black cherries, blackcurrants, blackberry, minty, toast, cedar, violets, black plums, mushroom, wet earth. On the palate the wine is dry with high acidity, medium high fine grained ripe tannins, medium alcohol, medium plus body. The flavor intensity is medium plus with black cherries, blackcurrants, blackberry, minty, toast, cedar, violets, black plums, mushroom, wet earth. The finish is medium plus with black fruit, toast. The wine is drinking nicely now but should mature with a further 5-7 yrs.
