At Sojourn with the Brotherhood :): Ripe, rich nose of black fruit. touch of oak, plum and spice. Powerful mid, with a ton of ripe black fruit. Oak is well integrated. still a good amount of tannic grip. showing young. good wine.

Black. Dusty oak, gentle hint of vanilla. Deeply fruited, cherry pip sourness, plums and prunes, tar spice, blood. Smooth and alluring. Firm palate, youthful, zesty, with a grippy finish. Thick and richly flavoured, has softened around the edges but finishes with plentiful firm tannins with some tartness. Dark fruit profile, well integrated but serious oak, damson fruit and plums, some black cherry and cherry stone sourness. Dense but smooth enough and enjoyable flavours. Nothing subtle about it.

a bit tangy (orange juice like) upon opening...but really comes into form after a couple of hours of opening. tanginess fades into a plum and blueberries with a soft dusty tannin finish.
