Well made and frankly totally drinkable. Recent port vintages are very drinkable. I would not wait too long on this (another 10 years), which would seem a crazy statement. I have tried the 70s and 80s and I have not found them appealing at all. Too little acidity, too little fruit.

Dark ruby colored, full bodied, dense, mildly sweet with notes of figs, sweet cassis, vanilla, hints of creosote and toast with tongue puckering gripping sweet tannins on the lingering finish. Fonseca, Vila Nova de Gaia: Powerful and vivacious!
Robustly seductive bouquet of young, high-quality vintage Port. All as it should be, featuring restrained precision at all phases.
Highly appealing textures and balance, conveyed in bracing waves. Expansive middle, stalwart back, delightfully long finish. Strikingly young! Improvement seems likely. 95-96.

Tasted at the winery, lots of red and black fruit, tannins and cinnamon. Preferred this to the 2017 vintage which was sweeter and less hefty.
