Dark fruit, tobacco, coffee and toffee. Wonderful complexity. Could perhaps have wished for even more intensity on the nose. But overall incredible value for a vintage port from a non-vintage year.

"Peppery, tobacco, black tea, menthol, dried herb, black cherry jam, and dark chocolate aromas with a touch of spirit. Full, round, moderately sweet palate but good acidity with youthful tannins. Lots of licorice, black cherry jam, dried fig, orange, smoky, earthy, black tea, peppery flavours. Good finesse and length, needs 7-10 years to develop."
My only other thought on this bottle is the high alcohol content comes in a little 'hot'. Otherwise an excellent Port to sip over the holidays

Although still young, this is hard to resist now. Rich dark fruit. Very smooth and rounded tannins. A powerful and robust wine but also very elegant. Quite wonderful.

Pleasantly surprised – an excellent young vintage port. Dark purple color. Dark black fruit aromas. Full-bodied and powerful palate: blackberries, chocolate, and black pepper. Beautiful medium-long finish. Still well before its true drinking window – this should shine for many more years to come.

Fonseca Offline @ Joost B.'s (Netherlands): Wonderfully fruity and primary. Impeccable balance, nice and ripe, not too sweet. Me likey. 17.5/20
