Semi Obnoxious Dudes @ Gulfstream 2.0: I was glad to see how youthful this wine still looked. Cork was soaked through and broke. It was covered in moldy stuff. This was a thing of beauty. I have not had many 25 year old cali pinots but this was near the best. No sign of fading during the night and drinking better than a group of 99s I drank the other night. Still has primary flavors too.

Guys' Night Out (Gulfstream - Corona del Mar, CA): A beautiful aged Pinot Noir. Notes of raspberries, strawberries, and cherry blossoms coupled with an element of hard spices and black tea. Elegant on the palate with a slightly-austere tea-like finish.

Gulfstream with the Dudes 2.0 (Gulstream, Newport Beach, CA): Remarkable bright coloring showing no sign of bricking. Light but pretty cherry nose showing some minerality and ample fruit. Clean and balanced with more minerals. This is still going strong though with not a lot of complexity. Very good.

(Mount Eden Vineyards Pinot Noir) From magnum - medium cherry red color with clear meniscus; initially heavy reduction nose that opened and changed to a tart red fruit, earthy, hibiscus nose, that further change after 45 minutes in the glass to a tobacco, dried mushroom nose; tasty, very tart red fruit, mineral, hibiscus palate with medium acidity; medium finish 92+ pts.
(Mount Eden Vineyards Pinot Noir) Medium cherry red color with pale meniscus and light sediment; light cherry and herbal nose; tart, youthful red fruit with good acidity and minerality; medium-plus finish 92+ pts. (should go for many years yet)

So far over the hill there's no point in writing a note. Still would like to try a better-stored bottle.
