Drunk from double magnum. Medium ruby in the glass. Beautiful florals on the nose complemented by bright red fruit (cherry, raspberry, cranberry). Medium-bodied, very fine tannins and zippy acidity. A bit tight at this stage, but this will develop into a gorgeous wine. Value for money in Burgundy.

Tasted after 2017 G-C 1er Cru Les Cazetieres. Another step up - great depth on the nose, quite layered and complex already. Red and dark fruit, well concentrated and generous. Good acidity, firm tannic grip. The finish is vibrant and very long. Lovely already and very promising. 93-94+

Faiveley Cellar Visit and Tasting (Day 10, Visit 2) (Nuits St.-Georges): Barrel tasting at Faiveley. Incredibly bright and vibrant black fruit start. Gets bigger, bigger and bigger, and slightly richer towards middle and finish. Very meaty, very classically Gevrey. Very good potential.
