Popped and poured. Wood on the nose, fading to a slight herbaceaousness, medium+bodied with striking salinity, some alcohol, lingering salinity, long finish. Full of character, and rewarding even now.

Rated for potential. Upon opening with no decant ... Big wine. More obvious than taillevent. Darker, riper, more mineral and maybe a touch saline. Wood still prominent. Lots of red fruit. Needs at least 5 years but approachable now. Will be great in time. The 2017 d’angerville are showing a lot young but still balanced.

Truly a flavor aromas that both seduces and challenges with lovely perfume, roses and red fruit, but also more profound and complex with spices, light animals and deeper salts. Pronounced flavours for this medium + full bodied wine. Great red fruit, but also here slightly deeper feeling with salts, spices and light dark chocolate. Excellent Caillerets who need their usual cellar time. 92 points. For now. (92-94p)
