  Burg vs Barolo Night (Meatsmith Telok Ayer): Medium pale ruby. A signature nose having a combination of florals, plums, brambles, and clove spices. Ripe, nearly stewed cherry, compote, and plums, as well as violets, autumn leaves, and forest floor, with a slight medicinal feel at the back. Lengthy, with waves of fruits, florals, and spices. Great wine!

  Drinking beautifully already. Medium body, color is rather lighter than expected. Fragrant flowers, bright red fruit. The back end was very interesting and reminded me of hazelnuts. Not a lot of tannins.

  This was more accessible and balanced than I would expect a 2019 to be. Another 19 that almost reminds me of 17 with its youthful openness. Maybe this shuts down, certainly it's not lacking for depth or structure. Curious to try this again in 5-10 years.
