Soft, silky, red, and black plums, complicated by cocoa and dried floral notes which shine through on the nose, and on the medium-bodied, silky-edged palate. Drink from 2023-2035.

Another modern rendition of Pomerol...who are we kidding, its a 2018 and as far as I am concerned, the vintage really should be called "The Modern Vintage". Not necessarily bad and not intended as a negative comment, but the more I drink and sample through the vintage, the more I realize that this is an easy to understand vintage, anchored in richness and plushness of the fruit, while maintaining a foot in Bordeaux. The 2018 Certan de May is showing plush, deep as the night, creamy, and mouth coating. The cedar influence and acidity says Bordeaux. This one should be left alone for at least 5 years. HOLD_
MMD Tour 2022 Tasting. St. Regis Hotel (St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco): Nose of red cherry, licorice, forest floor, and mocha, same on the palate, medium body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, needs two years to peak and show its complexity, and it shows on both the mid palate and medium/long finish.
