Blind, brick rim, light colored aged Bordeaux perfume, very aromatic, barnyard, gun flint, iodine, smoke, tannins are present good finish. Enjoyable now but enough there to hold a decade.

Refined and classic and revealing the elegance of its age, this wine is still strutting its medium body and beauty as a monument wine, a quarter of a century wine that provides pleasure. The blackberry, plum and cassis still linger with a hint of expresso, a scent of cedar and event less of tobacco. Chocolate and hazelnuts are scant, but still linger. This wine's primary characteristic now is balance. The tannins are soft and supple, the oak is a memory. Drink now, do not decant, and delight in the ease of this surprising wine.
Nice, but clearly slowing fading. Better on the complex, earthy nose than on the medium bodied palate. This requires consumption over the next few years.
